Dr. Louis Granirer, Holistic Chiropractor

Holistic Chiropractic Center in Kingston, Ulster County, Hudson Valley, NY 12401
For over 25 years, I have dedicated my life to helping people restore their health, vitality, and sense of wholeness through a deeply integrative, results-oriented approach to healing. I consider myself a root cause practitioner. My practice focuses on identifying the underlying causes of imbalances and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal. I use nutritional muscle testing to identify biochemical imbalances, chiropractic care, craniosacral therapy, advanced applied kinesiology, nutritional therapeutics, frequency work, and neuroemotional technique to help patients achieve their wellness goals.
After running a thriving practice in the nomad district of Manhattan, in New York City, for twenty-two years, I relocated my practice to the Hudson Valley in 2023. I often get asked why I relocated my practice from New York City. It is my deep connection to nature and the importance of daily connection with it that informed my decision.
I’m grateful that many of my long-standing patients from the city, the tri-state area, and around the country continue to travel long distances to see me in person.
At the heart of my philosophy is a guiding principle: true healing occurs when the body, mind, and spirit are working in harmony. Symptoms are messages — signals that something deeper needs attention. My mission is to uncover the root causes of imbalance, address them with precision, and guide each patient toward their optimal state of health and vitality.
A Holistic Approach Rooted in Experience and Insight
The work I do is for people seeking a deeper level of understanding and health. Each session is an individualized exploration designed to understand what the body truly needs to heal. Through modalities such as Applied Kinesiology, the Lebowitz Protocol, Nutrition Response Testing, and Neuroemotional Technique (N.E.T.), my goal is to identify the underlying factors that contribute to imbalance — including nutritional deficiencies, toxic overload, microbiome imbalances, infections, food sensitivities, structural stress, emotional blocks, and biochemical imbalances.
Once stressors are identified, I develop a customized plan that may include targeted nutritional supplementation, dietary and lifestyle guidance, soft-tissue and structural work, and mind-body stress reduction techniques to support balance and optimization. In addition to my many years of clinical experience, I draw on my own wellness practices, including qi gong, yoga, meditation, breathwork, acupressure, and tuning fork sound therapy, to help restore balance and coherence within the body’s systems. These modalities support the nervous system, enhance vitality, and help patients reconnect to their own innate healing capacity — creating lasting transformation that extends far beyond the treatment room.
Education and Advanced Training
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Florida in Gainesville and received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in 2001. Since then, I’ve continued to expand my expertise through extensive post-graduate education and advanced training in:
- Applied Kinesiology
- The Lebowitz Protocol
- Dr. Chris Astill-Smith’s Protocol
- Nutrition Response Testing
- Neuroemotional Technique (N.E.T.)
- Craniosacral Therapy
- Qi Gong and Yoga Practices
- Tuning Fork Sound Therapy
- Multiple Soft-Tissue and Acupressure Techniques
- Meditation and Breathwork Practices
This broad and continually evolving knowledge base allows me to create truly individualized and comprehensive care strategies for each patient.

The Interconnection of Body, Mind, and Spirit
“The interplay of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of a person all contribute to their overall state of health. My goal as a practitioner is to help identify the root causes of imbalance that are interfering with a patient’s genuine state of wellness. Once those are discovered, I create an individualized plan that supports healing at the deepest levels. Identification is one step — but understanding how to prioritize and support the body’s own intelligence is what allows true transformation to occur.”

Healing Through Personal Experience
My philosophy of treating the whole person began with my own personal health journey. The same healing modalities I practice helped me regain my health and well-being.
“If I didn’t feel well, it was never an option. I knew that what worked to help me regain my energy and clarity could have an equally powerful impact on my patients. Experiencing those results firsthand provided me with a more compassionate understanding of what my patients experience – and how to lead them through it.”

Navigating the Modern Health Landscape
Maintaining wellness can feel increasingly complex. Environmental toxins, processed foods, chronic stress, and disruptions to the microbiome all place tremendous strain on the body’s natural ability to heal. Many people find themselves overwhelmed after years of searching for answers.
My passion is to be a clear and trusted guide through this process — helping patients understand the “why” behind their symptoms and empowering them with a personalized, practical roadmap to restore balance and vitality. My work bridges traditional clinical care with holistic, intuitive insight, offering a comprehensive approach that addresses both science and energetic medicine.
