Overview of the Digestive System
The human digestive system consists of many different but interacting parts. Among them are the esophagus, stomach, and the small and large intestines. The intestines are tubular structues through which food and waste products pass and in which digestion ultimately takes place.
Two large organs, the liver and the pancreas, provide some of the enzymes and other substances needed for digestion. The gallbladder, a hollow organ located just under the liver, stores bile which is an acid containing fluid manufactured by the liver and assists in the breakdown and absorption of fats into the bloodstream.
In 2005, I started
to experience severe
fatigue and bloating
symptoms within my
body. I had always been
in good health, so I didn't
understand why I was feeling
sick. This illness went on to
change my life.
Digestive Tract Problems
The food we eat is pushed through the digestive tract by muscle contractions that are by and large automatic or involuntary. The process of digestion changes the components of food into a form that can eventually be absorbed into the blood stream in order to nourish the body. After nutrients are absorbed, the digestive tract eliminates unwanted material through the excretory system. The digestive system is the most important system of body because it provides the nutrients and fuel for every cellular process in our body.
Digestive Disorders from Food Intolerances
Food intolerances are a major cause of digestive problems today. The majority of the population has at least one food intolerance that they are not aware of. The four major and primary food intolerances are wheat, dairy, soy and corn. Since these are so prevalent in our food supply, most people have all four in their diet everyday. Food intolerances can cause many symptoms such as:
Hair and skin gets affected the most by this decrease in digestive capabilty because this is the least priority for the bodies nutritional factors.
My Personal Experience with Digestive Problems
In 2005, I started to experience severe fatigue and floating symptoms throughout my body. I would treat one symptom, it would go away, and than another would appear. I couldn't comprehend why I was having any symptoms at all, considering I was eating well, getting adjusted, receiving acupuncture and energy work, doing yoga, meditating, and living a "healthy" lifestyle. I decided to take a seminar on nutrition response testing. At this seminar a participant analyzed my body using the Nutrition Response Testing technique.
He found that I had heavy metal toxicity (mercury) from eating alot of fish, parasites (presumably from sushi), and fungal overgrowth. It was quite embarassing as I assumed I was very healthy. According to medical doctors, my physicals indicated I was in perfect shape (and we have all heard that before, but yet may not feel well).
I started to take detoxification supplements and was feeling like a new person in months. I was excited about my new energy levels and my feelings of well-being. I new that I had stumbled upon something that had the potential to make a lot of sick people well. This technique has given many patients their lives back

Digestive Disorders
Other digestive problems can be caused by a lack of enzymatic activity to break down food properly, a lack of acidic activity to absorb your food properly, fungal problems which can cause leaky gut syndrome, parasites, viral, and bacterial disorders.
The aging process results in a reduction in digestive capability. After the age of 25 we lose 10 percent of our digestive capability with every decade. Many people in their 60's and 70's have a fraction of their digestive capability that they had when they were in their 20's.
